Horses
Before we even purchased the farm we knew one of the animals we wanted to have was horses. My father and I had horses during the late 70's and 80's. The privilege of having horses again did not present itself until we purchased this farm. Before we had any chance to purchase our own horses, people started requesting to board their horses at our farm.
Our first horse arrived late summer 2005. She is a 15 year old
Quarter horse and a more gent le
animal I have never met. Her name is "Princess" and in the pictures
she is the one with the green halter.
"Jasmine", our second horse, arrived in the fall of 2005 and left us in January 2007 after she was sold by her owners.
From the time "Jasmine" left us until recently, we had to respectfully turn down several requests for potential boarders for various reasons, the main reason being lambs. All of our stalls were full with ewe's waiting to give birth. The completion of the Sheep barn will eliminate this problem in future.
Our latest arrival is "Cimone", a 10 year old Thoroughbred that is absolutely beautiful. "Cimone" is 16.2 hands and is Bay in color. She and "Princess" paired very well and each gets very upset when they can't see the other.
Both horses have been turned out for the summer and are thoroughly enjoying the pasture that was planted early spring with an Equine Mix of seed.
We have a farrier that visits the farm on a regular basis and also a Chris Irwin certified Level 1 trainer and coach that gives lessons at our location.
We hope you enjoy the pictures.
